WILDE is an acronym for Women Into Literature, Development and Empowerment.
Launched in 1999, WILDE has made it its mission to provide training and create opportunities for women in the creative, empowerment, health and well-being industries.
We were originally conceived to encourage literary and creative skills amongst underrepresented UK African and Caribbean women writers. WILDE International Network now works to broaden its scope and spread our wings further by creating training opportunities for women to form networks that enhance economic independence and well-being.
We are committed to creating and providing opportunities for writers to develop themselves, with access to our network of editors, publishers and literary agents, who are keen to share their experience and services.
Our creative and training expertise spans a variety of learning and self-development activities. We design, co-ordinate and manage exclusive WILDE projects and can adapt our unique training to existing organisations’ activities.
We welcome collaborations and affiliates, and encourage members who are interested in setting up branches in their part of the world to get in touch.
WILDE International Network was winner of the Women in Publishing Pandora Awards 2010 and received recognition in the Black Women in Business Awards (BIBAs).
